How Do I Earn In Affiliate Marketing? One Way

The basic principle is very simple: Sign up to an affiliate network and promote it. Yesssss, that simple!

Most people see the great results that experienced affiliate marketers are having and think that making big bucks is quick and easy, but my experience as an online affiliate marketer has taught me different: Building a good income source with affiliate marketing is a long run.

Yeah, that’s the truth you may don’t want to know about.

But hey, don’t get me wrong. It is a long journey, but it’s totally possible and worth it.

In this post, I will explain the basics of affiliate marketing very briefly and even offer a FREE Training you can use to start making money as an affiliate right away! Ready? Let’s get into it!

What Is Affiliate Marketing

This title may seem a little too techie for anyone who is just starting.

Don’t worry though, it is not that complex.

An affiliate marketer is a person who earns a commission for promoting, or marketing, somebody else’s product.

Affiliate marketing itself, is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.

As an affiliate marketer, you just need to search for a product you like and may enjoy.

With affiliate marketing, you will never have to deal with inventory management or customer support, as those issues are responsibilities of the seller. All you have to do as an affiliate is to build a link between the seller and the consumer. You can use social media, videos, blog articles, reviews and anything you can think of to make that happen.

Carla Moore Speaks- I want to help ‘YOU’ break the chains of personal generational poverty. I want to show you how to MONETIZE the Internet, mobile smart devices, social media platforms, marketing tools, education to build a full-time income from home.

Is that how hundreds of dollars are earned every single day?

That’s right! The magic of affiliate marketing is that it lets you generate massive amounts income. If you put a little of initial effort in an affiliate campaign, you will start to get an income as consumers purchase the product over the following days and weeks, even if you are not in front of your laptop.

A perfect income source…right?

That’s why affiliate marketing is by far my favorite method to make money online. I’ve made money in it for years now. You can learn how I do it with my current affiliate program.

This program has a FREE video that explains the products the whole process of becoming a successful affiliate: from the very beginning, all the way to getting your deserved commissions. You should totally check it out if you want to get into affiliate marketing!

Now that you understand how this business works, you can start your own journey as an affiliate marketer. I consider affiliate marketing as the easiest and most effective way to make money online. PS: Did you find this answer useful?   If so, it would make me really happy for you.

What are the best affiliate programs to join?

There are a lot of affiliate marketing programs out there. I recommend to choose a program with the following criteria:

  • a low-cost monthly membership fee
  • it has all the training you need in order to succeed
  • you get a good commission in order to be able to have profit for traffic and scale it up fast
  • a step-by-step process
  • right mentors who actually care to help; not only about upsells

I recommend this affiliate marketing program and products. You should have a look at the inside of this company which was created and started by top affiliate marketers who actually care about their affiliates and really give you all the info you need to succeed.

Straight to the point and chronological order for you to know how the full process to succeed. I will personally help you if you join it through me! If you want to get on a call with me or connect with me to know more send me a message or leave your contact in the comments!

5 Reasons Why Your Business Need A Domain Name-What Are The Benefits?

Did you know that great domain names are the easiest way for customers to find you online? You can help your visitors find you by using a domain name that is short and memorable.

On the Internet, your domain name is your unique identity. Any individual, business or organization planning to have an Internet presence should invest in a domain name.

These days a domain name is online real estate. It’s where your brand lives and conducts business. It’s where you drive potential customers to buy and it’s where you build your expertise and authority.

So, it should come as no shock that picking a domain name is an important decision.

5 Reasons Why Your Business Need A Domain Name-What Are The Benefits?

On a basic level, domain names are important because the Internet’s addressing scheme is not very effective without them.

Each computer on the Internet has an Internet protocol (IP) address: a unique string of four numbers separated by periods, such as 165.166.0.2. Since remembering the IP addresses of all of your favorite Web sites would be nearly impossible, a group of computer scientists created the domain name system to assign a unique name to each numeric IP address.

But domain names are much more than just a technical shortcut. A short, memorable domain name can make the difference between creating a successful Web presence and getting lost in cyberspace.

Having your own domain name, website and email addresses will give you and your business a more professional look. Another reason for a business to register a domain name is to protect copyrights and trademarks, build creditability, increase brand awareness, and search engine positioning. Here are five benefits you’ll see if you make the switch.

Benefits Of Owning A Domain Name

1. Easy-to-Remember Domain Names

A good domain name will be easy to remember, making your website easy to find.

5 Reasons Why Your Business Need A Domain Name-What Are The Benefits?

2. Improved Search Engine Rankings

A good domain name that relates to your business or organization improves your ranking in search engines. That means that potential customers will come across your site earlier in the search process, making them more likely to engage with you.

3. Better Branding and Fewer Errors

A good domain name should be short and easy to remember. In addition to being more memorable, short names make it easier to keep your brand’s continuity across your domain name and services. Short names are also less likely to be misspelled by users, resulting in fewer errors during the search process.

4. Domain names build your brand

More than anything else, a domain name can increase awareness of your brand. If your domain name matches your company name, it reinforces your brand, making it easier for customers to remember and return. It will also be easier to win business via word of mouth because customers will remember your name and pass it along to friends.

5 Reasons Why Your Business Need A Domain Name-What Are The Benefits?

5. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) What is SEO and How Does It Work?

Having your own domain name will increase your website’s positioning under search results on top search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

SEO is an acronym that stands for search engine optimization, which is the process of optimizing your website to get organic, or un-paid, traffic from the search engine results page. In other words, SEO involves making certain changes to your website design and content that make your site more attractive to a search engine. You do this in hopes that the search engine will display your website as a top result on the search engine results page.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 7288.gif

Though search engine optimization can get quite complex when it comes to all the different factors that impact your ranking, the basic process is not as difficult to understand. Search engines want to provide the best service for their users. This means delivering results on the search engine pages that are not only high quality but also relevant to what the searcher is looking for.

In order to do this, search engines will scan, or crawl, different websites to better understand what the site is about. This helps them deliver more relevant results to those who are searching for certain topics or keywords. Similarly, the search engines will scan the site to determine how easy it is to navigate and read, rewarding user-friendly sites with higher rankings on the search engine results page.

SEO-search engine optimization

SEO is the process that organizations go through to help make sure that their site ranks high in the search engines for relevant keywords and phrases. For instance, let’s say that you have an article about how to build a birdhouse. In order to get your content in front of the right people, you want to try to optimize your this blog post so that it will show up as a top result for anyone who searches for the phrase “build a birdhouse.”

CONCLUSION

The bottom line is that a good domain name can go a long way toward generating traffic to your web site and building your reputation. That, in turn, will result in more customers and better sales.

Some people think an active social media page is enough to drive sales, and advertise their businesses. But everyone can create a social media page, which means you need a unique and registered domain name and website to build trust for your business. Hence, your business can be verified online and on search engines like Google.

Keep your domain name for as long as your business is online. No one else can use your domain as long as you pay the host that set it up.

I hope you benefit from this overview.

What Are The Four P’s of Marketing?

When it comes to entrepreneurship, there is arguably no skill more important than the ability to sell and market your product or service…Period!

Marketing can be simply defined as putting the right product in the right place, at the right time, at the right price.

As a matter of fact, if you can nail each one of these aspects, your product or service will practically sell itself. However, things aren’t always as simple as they seem…Right?

A lot of hard work, research, and planning must go into your marketing in order to create the perfect marketing mix. One element being off could drain your marketing budget and derail your strategy completely.

Today I want to introduce the 4 Ps of marketing. The 4 Ps is a type of marketing mix designed to help you create and identify all of the elements needed to craft the perfect marketing strategy.

WHAT DO THE 4 P’S STAND FOR?

Price, Product, Promotion, and Price!

The 4 Ps of marketing serves as a great starting point for the planning of a new product or to evaluate and sell an existing product or service.

Let’s break the 4 Ps down and figure out how to make them work for you!

1 – PRODUCT

What Are The Four P's of Marketing?

Your product is either a tangible good or an intangible service that meets and fulfills a customer’s specific need or demand in the marketplace. It is critically important that you understand the exact problem your product is attempting to solve.

All of the key benefits offered by your product and its features should be crystal clear and easily presentable to your target audience in a way that communicates exactly why they need your product or service and can’t live without it.

2 – PRICE

What Are The Four P's of Marketing?

Price, is the amount you wish to exchange your product or service with your target customer. How a product is priced relative to the value the product provides will directly affect how it sells. If a product is priced higher or lower than its perceived value, then it will either not sell or underperform competitors in the same market.

For example, selling water to a thirsty crowd in the desert, you could practically charge someone’s firstborn for a bottle or two of water.

However, if you were to try and sell bottles of water to someone in a cold grocery store at a price that is too high relative to the water they could buy in house, you will struggle to get the sale!  This is why it is very important to understand how a customer perceives what you are selling. Positive customer value means that you can charge a price higher than its objective monetary value.

3 – PROMOTION

What Are The Four P's of Marketing?

How you communicate your product offering and its attached value falls under promotion. You want to be able to communicate your product offerings value and how it is different from your competitors. Solving the promotion portion of the marketing mix helps you identify how you will reach your target market.

This could be:

  • Radio
  • TV
  • Bill Boards
  • Internet
  • Direct Mail
  • Or PR (Press Release)
  • Facebook Ad
  • Google Ad
  • Bing Ad
  • Social Media Post
  • Solo Ad
  • Traffic Exchange
  • E-Mail Campaign

You will also want to identify the best times to promote your product offering. When will your target audience be looking for your product or service to feel their needs? Is your product seasonal? Are there any external factors that could affect the availability or usability of your product or service?

These are vital questions that you must answer before beginning your promotion.

4 – PLACE

What Are The Four P's of Marketing?

Lastly, you must determine the placing of your product/service. This is the process that you will use to bring the product or service to your intended market.

Where does your audience usually purchase your product or service? Correct placement focuses on where your product is located, where your target market is actively searching for your product, and how to connect the two.

If they are looking for your product in stores, what type of stores?

If they are looking for your products online, which websites or search engines?

If they are looking for your product in magazines or catalogs, which ones?

Once you have these questions answered, it is up to you to determine how to create the distribution pipeline so that your product reached your audience in the place they are most likely to purchase from you.

If you are hair care products placing your product promotion inside of a men’s sports shop may not be the most cost-effective method of reaching them. Unless you sell hair care solutions specifically for men of course.

CONCLUSION

The 4 Ps of marketing is a single tool that had been developed over the years to help you analyze and plan for a new product offering or to review the marketing of a current product.

Used correctly, these questions will help you paint a clear picture of how you should develop, test, and promote or product giving you an edge when it comes to market penetration.

I hope you enjoyed this quick overview.

Social Media Platform-How Should You Post With Purpose?

Is your business on social media?

Have you taken a minute to ask yourself why?

Listen, if you aren’t specific with your posting, you miss the point…blank…period!

Do you know why you should post with purpose to increase your social media impact?

Those people that do so create greater impact with their posts overall.

Read and learn how you can do better right now with your social media posting strategy.

Setting Social Media Platform Goals

You probably have a presence on social media, such as Facebook or Twitter…right?

The difficulty lies in knowing how to begin, what to post, and how often to post it. A lot of business owners post erratically with no rhyme, reason, or direction. Unfortunately, you won’t find success on social media by randomly throwing stuff at it. That’s like throwing Jell-o at a wall… it will slide down without sticking and just make a mess.

[Social media tip: Your post has the power to inspire, to make others laugh & empower others. Post with purpose.]

  • If you do not think about what the purpose of your post is, you will not achieve the results you are looking for.
  • Every time you post, it should be done with intent or purpose to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Posts are not sent out just to find a space or a time slot.
  • Post less and with greater impact will give better results that more less directed posts.
Social Media Platforms-How Should You Post With Purpose?

Social Media Goals are S.M.A.R.T.

Believe it or not, many businesses and organizations have no answer to this question. They basically have a social media presence because they know it’s something they should be doing in this day and age. Rarely do they stop and think about what they’re hoping to achieve on social media. Once you have a purpose, however, you automatically see a direction for how and what you should post.

You’ve probably heard this before, but goals for any aspect of your business, including social media, should be S.M.A.R.T.

This stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. For the purposes of this post, I’m going to focus on the first one.

Considerations for posting social media with purpose

Every time we post on social media, we need to make sure that each post has a specific purpose. We should not post on a whim. We need to make sure that there is a desired outcome with every post. We should have some idea what each post should accomplish.

Posting with purpose requires that you have an overall goal for your social media.

How do you know if you have an overall goal of your social media?

When you sit down at your computer, or grab your smart phone, do you know what the first thing you need to do is?

If you don’t have a goal for your social media, you will waste time trying to figure out what to do next.

When you have a goal for your social media, and you are posting the purpose, you will be anticipating the type of results you should be getting from your posts. It’s like this, if I do this, then this should happen. If I post a link, then people should click on that link. This is not wishful thinking. You have done all the initial set up to give your post the best chance of achieving its desired outcome.

For example, if your purpose is to have the post shared, is the post share worthy? One of the things that I always ask myself is this, “Would I share this myself?” Is it or anything about the post that would cause people to share that post? Maybe we include a cool photo, along with the text, that people pretty want to share with others on social media.

Think before you press the Publish button

Too often, many people post just to fill a slide in their schedule or just have something there on social media. They do not post with purpose, and therefore, don’t really anticipate a desired outcome. They are rolling the dice on to speak and hoping for good results. They tell themselves that “May be this time the post will go viral” and crossing fingers.

Using social media for business is not about luck. I love this expression, “The harder I work, the luckier I get!” Success on social media comes when proper preparation meets hard work and consistency. Social media is going to take some time and it will require a lot of thought. The more thought you put in your social media, the greater the chances of you seeing some really good results.

What should we do with our social media today?

We should plan to come up with an overall goal for our social media. When we begin the post on our social media, we should already know what we’re going to do next. We should know what we want to achieve, and that is what comes out of posting with purpose.

Things we can do:

  • Think about what results we want to get from each post type, and set our posts to achieve those outcomes.
  • Create a posting calendar so that we can plan each day what we want to post about.
  • Keep up to date with what is happening in our community so we can make our posts responsive to what is going on in our community.

How to Set Specific Goals

Now that you know how specific social media goals should look, it’s time to get down to business.

As with anything else, your business’s mission and vision should be at the center of everything you do. Whenever you hope to change or improve anything about your business, ask yourself whether or not what you’re doing comes back to your mission.

If your social media schedule is random and haphazard, it does nothing to advance your goals.

Social Media Platforms-How Should You Post With Purpose?

In fact, you may actually hurt yourself that way. Have you ever gone to a Facebook page that was last updated long ago? I know I have.

Consequently, I had a harder time taking that business or organization seriously.

How much do they care about me as a customer if they don’t project themselves positively for the public?

A haphazard social media strategy is almost worse than none at all. And that’s the “naked truth”!

Help is Out There

If you find yourself at a loss and without time to devote to your social media goals, you’re not alone. There is help! Not only are there tools to help save time with social media, there are people, too.

I happen to be a Social Media Marketing Mentor. You can come inside my “Make Money Moves” private group, with my other circle of friends here.

You’d probably be surprised how affordable it is to get help with your social media marketing. Let’s say you spend a little on help, and that increases your exposure and grows your business, even a little.

How to Find A Great Work From Home Company…12 Positive Traits

Silicon Valley companies are well known for lavish perks—free gourmet lunches, expanded maternity and paternity leave, on-site massages and even rock climbing walls.

But being a good company means more than just offering free food and competitive salaries or commissions.

It means creating a culture where partners feel valued and invested in helping your business succeed. When you strive to be a good company, you reduce partner’s stress and improve your company, as well as its long term profitability.

How to Find A Great Work From Home Partnership Company...12 Positive Traits

Here are 12 traits of a good work from home company:

  1. A clear vision and identity. Partners want to know where the company is pointed, what the company believes in and what everyone is working toward.
  2. Honest leadership.
  3. Provides “flexible” growth for partners. As an partner of a company, you should have the ability to change career paths if you’ve proven you’re a dependable, hard-working and passionate person.
  4. A culture of collaboration. Collaboration creates better work, better results and better culture.
  5. As little politics as possible. While politics are always going to happen in a company environment, great companies have very little of it and work hard to stomp it out when it creeps up.
  6. Promotes meritocracy. Simply put, if you show that you are going to do great work, your career will grow accordingly.
  7. Open communication. Great places to partner with are open about how the company is performing.
  8. Craves honest feedback from its partnerships.
  9. A fun atmosphere. I’ve always felt that if people are going to spend most of their time with a company, it should be a fun environment. When people are having fun, they work together better and they produce better work.
  10. Filled with passionate people. Companies that only look at educational background and experience when collaborating are far less successful than ones that partner with people that are passionate about their work and the industry. I’ll partner with passion over experience any day.
  11. Approachable leadership. The more people feel open to talking to their leadership, the more problems will get solved and the more job satisfaction people will have.
  12. A great environment. A fun, open, energetic and creative environment can make a big difference in the overall atmosphere of a company.
How to Find A Great Work From Home Partnership Company...12 Positive Traits

Thanks to technology like high-speed internet and mobile phones, working from home is increasingly easier. And the remote job market is spreading beyond the traditional fields of computer technology or customer services.

For many Americans, that is a great thing. With the growth of telecommuting many people can achieve that elusive work-life balance as they reclaim time that they would’ve spent in traffic. And for those who want to exclusively work from home, the boom of working from home is nothing short of amazing.

Are you looking for a good work from home company?

Are you wondering which companies are legit? That’s why you’re here. Right?

Who doesn’t dream of having a work-from-home job?

Think about it. No morning commute. A better work-life balance.

Spending more time with your friends and family.

Now consider this: What if working from home doesn’t need to be done at your current home, and you could find a company that allows you to do remote work from anywhere in the world?

It’s becoming the norm to go to work in pajamas and a robe nowadays — well, if you work from home anyway. With the rise and popularity of work-from-home jobs and work-from-home companies, more Americans have the opportunity to make their home their workspace.

Carla Moore Speaks - work from home anywhere

According to a 2017 report by FlexJobs, between 2005 and 2015, the number of American workers who spend at least 50% of their work time at home, or some location other than a corporate office, grew by 115%.

To meet the growing demand, many companies now offer working from home in a growing number of fields, from tech to even medicine. If you’re in the market for contract, part-time or full-time that you can do from home, online jobs or simply work-from-home flexibility, then this company is exactly what you need.

This company offers remote positions that will help you make money without having to leave your home. Here is their most recent company stats and growth.

What Should You Do to Start Learning Email Marketing?

Are you an email marketing newbie?

In this article, I’ll share with you What Should You Do to Start Learning Email Marketing.

I remember the day I got into email marketing and started searching for such tips, and how to get into it the right way. Now let me share with you the best, yet the simplest actionable success points that you must learn about when getting started with your email marketing.

It’s not a secret that email is the heavy favorite among marketers. An email was ranked by marketers as the single most effective media to raise awareness, acquisition, conversion, and retention. Different aspects are included in email marketing, now we get into each one in details.

What Should You Do to Start Learning Email Marketing?

Your Email List

This answer the question, to whom are you firing email? We can call those people on your list subscribers, contacts, leads or prospects depending on the connection they have with your business.

Mainly it contains the contact info that you’ve collected from your customers or leads generated from your website signup forms, popups, and landing pages. It can even be a contact list that you collected at a show you attended. Remember, this list has to do something with your business. You don’t want to send emails promoting the benefits of eating meat to a vegan email list.

ALWAYS remember you have permission to send them marketing emails and NEVER buy email lists!

Your Email Marketing Software

Imagine sitting the whole day, sending emails manually via Gmail/Outlook/Yahoo to 1000 contacts. Duh! Probably after the 10th email, you would be done with it and quit.

Sending newsletters and automated emails requires some setting up and monitoring, which include preparing a list, segmenting it into subgroups, sending the actual emails and creating feedback reports.   The purpose of email marketing software goes beyond sending emails automatically.

There is plenty of software that you can consider for your email marketing. But since you’re an email marketing rookie, I recommend you go with a simple solution like My Lead Gen Secret.  It’s made for those with no technical background to convert their leads to loyal customers by sending personalized, and relevant emails to your list.

So now let’s say you have your email list, started with an email marketing software. All you need is a compelling email.

What Should You Do to Start Learning Email Marketing?

Create an awesome email

The style and layout of emails differ between industries and companies. Yet, there are certain best practices and guidelines to follow to make your emails look professional, here are some:

  • Sender name, email address: Include the name of your company in the From Name. Generally, it’s best to go with a first name plus the company like Mark from Facebook.
  • Subject line: Use a relevant, informative, and clear subject line. Do not use ALL CAPS or spammy words. Be careful you don’t want to lose your contacts because of a cheesy subject line.
  • Email layout & content: The layout of your email should be well-spaced, with distinguished sections. Use blocks, padding, spacers, and dividers to create a clean and visually pleasing email layout. Adding images won’t hurt as well, an image is worth a thousand word.

To wrap up, you took your contact list and got started with your email marketing software. Afterward, you designed a beautiful email and fired your first campaigns.

It doesn’t end there my friend, the best marketers always look at their analytics after sending their emails. You don’t have to do it manually, create sheets and stuff, your email marketing software gives you clear data regarding the performance of your email campaigns.

So get started with your email marketing software, I’m pretty sure that My Lead Gen Secret will be the right fit for you because our focus is to make every process as easy and effective as possible.

3 Ways As A Home-Based Business Owner You Might Be Leaving Money On The Table

Cease excess spending and increase profitability

When running your own business, whether it be online or offline, it’s always important to try and squeeze out as much money as possible. Every dollar not spent on wasted is potentially another dollar to count toward profit.

We all know the value of hitting profitability these days and keeping costs as minimal as possible. With all of this in mind, here are three different ways entrepreneurs and small business owners can start saving more while increasing profitability in the process.

1. Get your money back on your taxes

Nobody likes to talk about taxes, let alone pay them; however, it’s something all of us need to do. The good thing about having your own business is that there are several ways you can write off your expenses and advertising.

Small business owners often pay more in taxes than they probably need to. If you’re currently doing your business’s taxes, and/or your personal taxes, talk with a certified public accountant. Ask them to review your returns before you file them. He or she can tell you if you’re overpaying and they can provide some recommendations. Should you be overpaying your taxes, you can get money back from the government even years after your taxes have been filed.

3 Ways As A Home-Based Business Owner You Might Be Leaving Money On The Table

2. Eliminate excess costs

It’s also important to not frivolously spend just because you are a business. With so many online marketing and finance management tools that are readily accessible on the internet today, you may find yourself with multiple subscriptions and monthly recurring costs.

Take the time to review your monthly expenses – not just how much you are spending but also where you are spending those dollars. More often than not, businesses spend hundreds of dollars every month on excess tools, advertising and subscription-based services they simply forgot about and no longer use.

3. Focus on your existing customers and traffic sources

If you want to grow a successful business online, you need to focus on each of your customers and their value to your company. We all know it’s more costly to try and acquire a new customer than it is to generate new sales from an existing customer.

With this in mind, more small-business owners should focus on increasing lifetime value from their existing customers while also using advertising skill methods like re-marketing to bring existing users back to your site time and time again.

At the same time though, it’s also about building trust and loyalty.

Some of the best small-business owners in the world today have loyalty programs in place that entice customers to spend and come back to their website or business. The more a customer spends, the more rewards they receive, much like we see with many credit cards.

3 Ways As A Home-Based Business Owner You Might Be Leaving Money On The Table

BONUS

I thought this might be a great bonus“NUGGET” for all small-business owners.

Say that your prospects does NOT want to purchase your product or join your team with your primary small-business, right?

Then your duty owning that small-business is to leave NO MONEY on the table period.

So, they say “no”, right?

Cool, no problem, u ain’t mad. O.K.

Then always keep tools in your arsenal to help them build any small-business they are building. A great tool to keep is a lead list building system to help ALL small-business owners to build a list, get traffic to their offer, and collect leads.

Buy leaving NO MONEY on the table, you should be offering them that tool.

Take the motivation off of getting the sale, and solve their real problem, which is lack of traffic, leads, and sales with whatever they are building.

Just remember this, no matter what your product, service, or company is, as a small-business owner you are in the “home-based business niche” and can always be of service and positioned to help other small-business owners build their businesses.

Never forget that. So, I hope this helps!

These are just a few ways small-business business owners can eliminate costs and increase profits. Be sure to evaluate your business and see where you might be able to squeeze some extra money out of your business while leaving less on the table.

Does E-Mail Marketing Still Work…What Do You Think About It?

What Do You Think About Email Marketing? Does It Still Work?

The real question here is, DO SALES STILL WORK?

Because if sales DO work, then email marketing is the only sane way to do them in 2019.

And if they DON’t, you’re either in a very tough and competitive niche or you’re just doing them wrong.

Either way, email marketing does work if you have a clear strategy, the right tools and a bit of common sense.

One of the best parts about email marketing is the ability to target your customers. … You can be far more strategic with your emails, which makes it a more effective way to deliver your message. This translates into more effective marketing.

At its most basic level, email marketing is the use of email to promote your business. It is used to cultivate relationships with potential customers, keep current customers informed and updated on your brand, offer coupons to encourage customer loyalty, and more!

According to a new survey from the Content Marketing Institute, 83% of B2B marketers are still using email marketing via eNewsletters to reach their target audience. Tried and true methods never fail, right?
Maybe not. Of that 83%, only 58% are finding these methods to be effective. And while that’s still a decent percentage, there’s a lot of room for improvement.
Every digital marketer needs the right skills and tools to be successful. So, what can make email marketing more effective?
Email marketing only works if you know how to work it.
Here are some ways to make it work for you:
  • Make it personal.

Don’t be afraid to get personal with your customers. Personalization increases response rates and boosts engagement. Use names in email messages to grab attention, but don’t use full names–that can come off as creepy and even make customers feel uncomfortable. Make sure the customer information you have on file is accurate. Misspelling names or using incorrect titles can damage your reputation instead of helping it.

  • Use subject lines, headlines, and subheads to your advantage.

It can be tempting to quickly write subject lines, headlines, and subheads, but it’s worth your time to put some thought into crafting these smaller, but valuable, facets of customer communication. Be simple and straightforward, but clever in your subject line and headline. The recipient should be able to understand the purpose of your message with just a 3- to 5-second scan. Make sure your subheads support your headline and offer further information and instruction without distracting from the body of your copy.

  • Write targeted, brief and enticing body copy.

People never want to read rambling copy–and people especially don’t want to read rambling copy in an email. Open with text that will hook your audience, like a rhetorical question or compelling offer. Avoid yes or no questions, as these can deter customers based on their answers. Introduce the most compelling benefits of your offer, summarize important details and focus your energy on one clear call to action. Make your copy easy to scan by using short sentences, simple language, and bulleted lists.

  • Don’t overlook the little things.

In an email, a bit of extra effort on your end goes a long way for the readers, especially for mobile. You can boost user experience by pre-filling forms, limiting the number of fields on a form, pulling in user data through progressive profiling and sizing the fields to match the length of the information to be entered. All of these steps lead to better response and engagement rates.

  • Know when to send and when not to send.

The ideal send frequency can vary depending on audience expectations, product, service or campaign type. Generally speaking, you should send emails at least once a month. But don’t send an email just for the sake of sending an email–communicate with your audience when you really have something good to offer. Make sure the content is useful and the topic is relevant. Don’t send too often and don’t be too aggressive. That’s a major turnoff.

  • Call users to action.

The call to action is everything. Use persuasive words and incorporate the “What? Why? How?” method. Tell users what they need to do, why they should do it and how to do it. Tailor the CTA to your audience and provide multiple links throughout the email to make it easy for users to take action. Use CTA buttons, but avoid including CTA links within any images.

  • Avoid common email marketing blunders.

Avoiding common mistakes can give your email and your entire campaign the finishing touches needed to be a success. Don’t use all caps, don’t mention opt-in preferences in your email body copy, and don’t choose font colors and sizes that are too hard to read or too large to display on mobile. Use clean and light HTML coding, include basic company information like name and address, include an unsubscribe link in the footer and use common fonts to ensure it will be readable on whatever device your customers are using.

After you accomplish ALL of this, finally, There are only two components to make email marketing really work:

  1. precise segmentation
  2. personalization based on behavior.

I say it again, personalization is not about adding your recipient’s name to an email. It’s about understanding their behavior within your product or website and scheduling your emails based on it.

Like, if you’re using advanced customer communication platforms like My Lead Gen Secret for your email marketing, all this info is collected by them automatically and is available for you as email triggers.

These criteria can be anything from specific locations and languages to last pages and time spent on them. It’s all in the settings for your email campaigns.

It’s all about your understanding of your customers’ behavioral patterns and pain points.
